Ingredients
- Base
- 4 pieces puff pastry
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- One quarter tsp cooking salt
- One quarter tsp ground black pepper
- 1 egg plus 1 tbsp water whisked
- Toppings
- 1 red or green capsicum sliced
- 7 to 8 button mushrooms sliced
- 60 g chopped spinach or rocket
- 100 g ham or salami chopped
- One half cup shredded mozzarella
- One quarter cup sliced kalamata olives
- 1 small red onion thinly sliced
Method
- Preheat oven to 200 Celsius.
- Defrost puff pastry sheets for 30 minutes.
- Score the edges to create a crust border.
- Brush the entire sheet with egg wash.
- Bake for 10 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Remove and gently press the centre to deflate slightly.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce.
- Add a little cheese then toppings then finish with more cheese.
- Bake for another 10 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve.
