Sweet Chilli Beef Stir Fry
A quick delicious stir fry with a perfect balance of sweetness and savoury flavour
Ingredients
- 500 g beef mince
- 1 onion diced
- 3 tablespoons garlic finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or canola oil
- Water as needed
Method
- Heat the oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry for about one minute until fragrant.
- Add the beef mince and cook until mostly browned breaking it up as it cooks.
- Add the sweet chilli sauce fish sauce rice vinegar oyster sauce and dark soy sauce. Stir for thirty seconds to coat the beef evenly.
- If the mixture dries out add half a tablespoon of water at a time until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

Tips
- Use ten percent fat mince for the best flavour and tenderness.
- Add sliced capsicum or green beans for extra vegetables.
- Serve with rice noodles for a lighter option.
Storage
Keeps in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently on the stove. Freezing is possible but the texture will change slightly.
