Ingredients
- 2 medium chicken breasts (about 650 to 700 g total), cut into small cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Tip: the size does not matter as long as the pieces are the same size
Method
- Place the chicken cubes in a bowl.
- Add the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, oregano, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly so the chicken is coated well.
- Let it sit for about 30 minutes if you can. If not, move straight to the next step.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry at 180°C for 7 to 10 minutes.
- Toss the chicken around at the 4 minute mark so it cooks evenly.
- At around 6 minutes, take out one piece and cut it in half. If there is no pink in the centre, it is ready.
- If it is still a little raw, place it back in the air fryer for another 2 minutes maximum.
- If you have an instant read thermometer, the centre should read at least 75°C.
Tips
- Do not overcrowd the basket, cook in batches if needed
- If your pieces are larger, they will need closer to 10 minutes
- Perfect for rice bowls, wraps, salads, or meal prep
- Always check one piece first, overcooked chicken breast dries out fast
Storage
- Store airtight in the fridge for up to 3 days
- Reheat briefly in the air fryer or a pan so it stays juicy
- Can be frozen for up to 2 months, thaw in the fridge overnight
