Ingredients
- 400 g celery stalks
- 3 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Method
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat until smoking hot.
- Add the celery and stir fry for no more than 30 seconds, keeping it moving constantly.
- Add the garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and Chinese cooking wine. Continue stirring vigorously for another 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat immediately.
- Serve hot, garnished with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
Watch It Being Made
Tips
Stir fry on the highest heat possible for maximum crunch. Chinese celery softens quickly, so avoid overcooking.
Storage
Best enjoyed immediately. If storing, refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Reheat quickly in a hot pan.
